Peniel Trust Growth Fund

Investing in Christian Education for Generations to Come

Why the Peniel Trust Growth Fund Matters.

Since opening in 2025, Wellington Hills Christian College has experienced extraordinary growth. Established by Peniel Trust and the NZ Christian Proprietors Trust (NZCPT), the College welcomed 110 students in its first year and grew to 125 students by year end.

The demand for Christ-centred education across Wellington has continued to increase. In 2026, the College accepted enrolments for 180 students, yet more than 140 children were unable to secure a place because our facilities had reached capacity. While our current site can accommodate up to 210 students, the need within our community is far greater.  We are deeply aware of the many families who long for a Christian education for their children but are unable to access it.

The Peniel Trust Growth Fund has been established to help meet this need. It exists to bridge the gap between the generosity of supporters today and the future income that will come as new classrooms are built and filled.

By partnering with us, you are helping to create opportunities for more children to learn, grow, and flourish in an environment grounded in Christian faith and values. Your investment is not simply funding sites—it is helping to shape future generations, strengthen families, and extend the impact of Christian education throughout Wellington for years to come

How the Growth Fund Works

Pledges provide the certainty needed to build.

Your pledge today unlocks development finance, creates new classrooms, and allows more students to experience a Christ-centred education. Step through how it works.

Step 1 of 7

Supporters make pledges

Five-year commitments give the Trust a dependable, multi-year revenue base.

Step 2 of 7

NZ Christian Savings sees confirmed pledges

Confirmed pledges are presented as security for a development lending facility.

Step 3 of 7

Development finance is approved

Loan approval turns pledged support into real, spendable building finance.

Step 4 of 7

New classrooms are built

Construction proceeds in staged blocks, matched to enrolment growth.

Step 5 of 7

Students enrol

New capacity opens places to families who could not previously secure one.

Step 6 of 7

Income services the debt

Attendance dues and operating income repay the development loan over time.

Step 7 of 7

The fund supports the next stage

Serviced debt frees the Growth Fund to back the next stage of development.
